Engine Oil. Absolutely simple, its oil, for the motor, duh...

Wrong. It is amazing stuff and some of its specifications it needs to protect and improve are: -Fuel economy, -Emission systems protection, -Rust protection with the use of E85 (ethanol/gasoline blend coming very soon to all our pumps), -Protection for turbochargers, -Preventing engine sludge, -Keeping pistons clean, -Compatibility with sealing materials. This is a lot to require of so called “cheap” oil. And this is all about to change this summer with the introduction of the new ILSAC standard GF-5 and GM Dexos oil.
What does this mean for you?
For one thing, getting the right oil in your engine will be more critical, the cost will slightly higher, but there is a sweet side to this that i think you will like, -Longer service intervals. It needs to be understood that these can be run longer depending on driving condition, and we can program in our system to remind you at the appropriate time. We will need to discuss this with you on an individual basis on how you can take advantage of this program, We already have alot of VW, Mercedes, BMWs and now some 2011 models that are using a better formulated oil, with extended oil change intervals, combined with items that need inspecting or maintenance every time. Most manufactures recommend to have inspections performed about every other oil service, now you can get all of your maintenance done a once, fewer times per year. This equals more convienience, less hastle, lower stress, increased longevity for your car and your Brain!
